Using this website

The content on this site is ours and is provided for general information. Any advice or tips on the site are general only and are not a substitute for having a qualified engineer look at the job. We try to keep the site available and accurate but cannot guarantee it.

Quotes and prices

A quote is a fixed price for the work described and is valid for 30 days. An estimate is a guide only and the final price may differ. Prices [include/exclude] VAT. Parts and materials are charged separately unless the quote says otherwise.

Booking work

A contract is formed when you accept our quote or ask us to go ahead and we confirm it.

Carrying out the work

We will do the work with reasonable care and skill using suitably qualified engineers. Any dates we give are our best estimate rather than a guarantee. If we find extra work is needed once we start, we will stop and tell you the cost before continuing.

Access

Please give us safe access to the property at the agreed time. If we cannot get in, we may charge a fee for the wasted visit.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise. For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit or invoice in stages.

Cancelling

If you are a consumer and we agreed the work in your home, over the phone or online, you have 14 days to cancel. If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, you will need to pay for the work already done.

Guarantee

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months. Parts and appliances are covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty.

Your rights

Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Complaints

If something is not right, please contact us

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

One thing worth flagging even for an interim version: if the site runs Google Ads and Analytics, it does need a cookie banner. The policy says cookies are only used if accepted, so that has to be true on the page.
